Put you mouth where your money is...
Anybody for DRM due to artists rights should watch the rerun of "behind the music" where TLC explains why they had a #1 album, but filed bankruptcy. They talk about "points", which according to their record deal gave them about $0.007 of every CD sold and they had to pay for producing and such out of their pocket! That figure was not a typo, and for the math-challenged, that means the trio earned $70,000 for a year in the studio and a year on the road to promote the CD That means a yearly salary of $11,667 for each, and still had to pay for the production of the album!

A couple years after I first saw this the RIAA started their BS, and I started reading stories of them trying to sue teenage girls and the grandparents who paid for their internet connection. At that point I made a choice. I stopped buying music AND using Napster. The CD's I owned previously are enough to fill my 30GB iPod. I haven't bought music OR stole it in over 6 years. The RIAA is right, they have lost money because of me...

But it has nothing to do with piracy.

If you think the actions of the people in this story are extreme, and you think laws have been bought rather than voted for; take my advice. You ultimately provide the money these groups use to operate. And the smiling George on the dollar bill knows who really is in control. You stop giving them money, they have none to give to their lawyers. Problem solved. Now if we all did that, that really would be an extremist group!
