This is a natural reaction to the corruption of reasonable copyright laws by big media. Media companies have been buying our lawmakers for years for the purpose of extending copyright protections virtually forever.

This was never the intent of the artificial exclusivity discussed by the founders. No one creates anything in a vacuum. People merely build on and extend what came before.

Until copyright is restored to it's original scope, term, and intent, these "pirate" party people have a legitimate argument.
