notoriety vs anonyminity
There are big differences between the two terms. Anyone wishing to be "anonymous" probably isn't blogging at all. However, I follow a number of blogs for different reasons, none of which are particularly "notorious". Rss feeds enable me to catch up on the latest posts without leaving Mozilla. Without them, I wouldn't bother, and I'm sure I'm not alone. For many bloggers, rss feeds are about convenience for their potential readers, not any desire for fame or notoriety.
