Cybersquatting is a common problem
In this case a relatively small guy wronged a very big entity and lost. In my experience, I ?backordered? a domain with Godaddy, didn't get it, but was contacted by BuyDomains.com and offered to domain for $10,000. I should never have backordered it, but rather just waited the right amount of time after it expired and registered it.
