Double Click last to move off .Net; Cookies
Lets be blunt. Microsoft hates this Double Click deal because it will be one less shop using dot net after the Google purchase. Google is just doing what any Stanford University based business spin off would do. It is following industry standards. Following the SUN. Promoting Java. You know the purchase will be good for everyone but Microsoft don't you? On Cookies

Cookies have long been an issue , and for a long time were banned on government computers, because they require the outsider to have access to a computer's storage. They now appear to be an issue for iPhone. And yet they are so unnecessary. Information can be stored on in access provider's database. Most Oracle based intranets do exactly that. Java applets - again good secure no cookie means of maintaining state.
