Clarification
The CEO of Whole Foods posted as a citizen and did not post as CEO of Whole Foods has been my understanding of this story.

The recent Los Angeles case involving a county employee who chatted to reporters about a lier and represented himself as if he was representing the county is worth discussing.

From the case, US citizens learned that as long as they spoke as US citizens and not as representatives of their employer that their employer could not fire them. So important is this notion of speaking out within our democracy.

US citizens who have paid attention know that when they first alert the press to suspected wrong doing, they are protected, but they can not pretend to represent their employer in any way.

Channel 9 (the Microsoft employee channel) probably should not be used by Microsoft employees for protection reasons. They should be posting on forums like Zdnet where they become simply US citizens (well the non H1-Bs anyway)

Again Greatings Microsoft programmers. Welcome to Zdnet.
