Google have Googlepages. They allow people to do a 100 Mb website and then put adsense on and get paid. Yahoo was the first to offer free web space with geocities. But why not just give space away and allow people to upload to sub-domains. Even 50Mb would be good. The tools offered by Googlepages and Geocities just aren't good enough. Yahoo 360 pages could then be linked to geocities sites. Yahoo Answers could be linked and Yahoo adverts could go on with content providers making money as they do with adsense. If they continue to expect people to provide content free - and go after high value advertising; their revenue will continue to fall. Google can learn from Yahoo Answers. Yahoo can learn from Googlepages and adsense.
