OBee, just don't use the system then if it isn't to your liking. It only annoys me once in awhile. You only prove what I have been saying all along. If linux was ready for prime time, then the players would not be complaining because everyone would leave in droves and not even give a sh*t about MS practices. Besides, you would not want to be locked in to another system. Gotta convert again, dammit. They were not what I thought they were. Of course no one is trapped if they love the decor in the cell block.

Actually the problem with Vista is the thing is very new and lots of hardware out there to be supported. MS doesn't have the luxary of Apple to DRM a motherboard and only accept a few chip manufacturers to integrate on them. Antitrust prevents this so their support issues are huge. Also the apps have to be rewritten for Vista due to different APIs and security interrupts to prevent the baddies from writing code.

As for your user's needs, they are in the minority with linux so they don't apply. If Windows users with different temperments on a OSS bent, oh well. That is like expecting a Ford at the Chevy dealership. Just steer them to the correct vendor. I think most that complain about Windows will also complain about linux, when they discover problems. Just the way some folks are.
