What he's saying is you have Office installed and you have Office accessing the web using IE which happens to be integrated into the OS. It doesn't matter if you choose to use FireFox, Office will still use IE.

Now if you are talking Web versions of Office. Well you use IE to access them if not then you don't access them. To me this a good thing because I think web applications for the most part suck!
