Just Stating the Inevitable Truth
The writer as only pointing out what, to me, is an inevitable truth. That is, Microsoft has, through illegal and anticompetitive means (xref Netscape), been able to retard the growth of the networked computer for only so long. The day of the LARGE, FAT client PC on your desktop that sings all and dances all is numbered. Microsoft has been able to bolt as much as it can into Windows, but the inevitable truth is that between virtualisation, Linux, OpenOffice, FireFox and services over the network such as gmail; the days of the Microsoft Window/Office money making scheme is numbered.
