Oh the tangled web you weave...
Wow, I really struck a chord with you didn't I? Why are you so defensive and so unwilling to state in plain and simple terms what your problem with Google is? Why do you claim that those whose views differ from your own must be paid to have those views? You made that accusation first in a previous article's comment section. When I accused you of being a paid shill I was using what is known as "irony." You should be able to find that in the dictionary... you do have a dictionary, don't you?

In your first post you claim that Schmidt did not defend Google, but rather attacked Viacom. Now you say that he was nearly as defensive as you. Make up your mind.

Here's an example for you: ZDnet has these posts which they graciously allow you to fill with Google hate mail and slander. So if Google had a problem with something you said, would it be right for them to sue ZDnet? I think not. My question is, where do we draw the line on where to place responsibility for a third party's use of a publicly available product?

Google does hold some responsibility for the content that is uploaded to the YouTube site. I will concede that point. But, in the end, users digitally sign an agreement that they will hold themselves responsible for the content they upload. This legal, digital contract should be upheld in court and the responsibility placed squarely on the shoulders of those who (by legal contract) have violated Viacom copyright.

On a personal note, Loverock, the first rule of written debate: proofread. Second rule: don't get so angry that you forget to proofread.
