Remember the 'Cultural Revolution'...
The list of 'troubles' from China these days really ties back to the 'Cultural Revolution' of Mao which pretty much wiped out earlier Chinese religious or political thought that gave the country a moral center. China has forsaken the recent past of Mao but now morphed into this crazy 'chimera' of communist and capitalist ideals. The political leadership has adopted the 'profit' fixation of capitalist thought but the corporate leadership and the man in the street have no moral tenents to be fair, honest, etc. in commercial activities. Expect to see more problems (both social and economic within China) with impacts outside the country such as tainted food ingredients, 'boot leg' product copies, etc. China is in a rush to become a 'super power' without the historical or cultural foundations to stay out of trouble.
