- What I want, when I want it
-
Heres something for you...
I havent bought a movie or CD for maybe 10 years. I currently have zero in my "collection" as well.
Now, I'll admit to having seen stuff on the web. But as I say, I dont have anything saved.
Now I ask you, if I were to watch free to air TV or listen to the radio, am I a criminal? I use a media centre PC, and I frequently record things, and then play them back when I want, and most importantly, I skip through all the ads (I cant stand commercials). In this instance, the revenue generation aspect is removed from the equation.
Again, am I a criminal?
No. I am using the technology at hand to watch what I want, when I want it.
I dont see the internet as being different at all. Instead of being offered 30 channels of free to air stuff, you get whatever you want for free.
If movie houses are concerned about their revenue (after posting record profits), then maybe they need to get creative in the face of technology changes. Other industries have to. - Posted by: roberto_maietta@... Posted on: 07/03/07 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
