When the movie or record or software...
industry puts a price tag on lost revenues due to piracy, they are assuming that the pirates would buy their products if they couldn't get them for free. The fact is that most wouldn't. This grossly overstates what the real losses are.

Piracy is wrong but let's get real about the actual damage done to these industries... if any damage at all.
