Yeah, I guess you're right. Microsoft being found guilty of using their dominance in the OS market to boost Internet Explorer usage does have a lot to do with desktop search. 8 years later. With a company not party to the original lawsuits and antitrust ruling.

I remember when everyone used Google because it was better than anything else around. Unfortunately, it appears Google doesn't think it's the best when it comes to desktop search and is relying on finding a sympathetic judges to force its way into a secondary market area.

(And for the record, I use neither Google Desktop Search nor the Microsoft version, whatever the hell they're calling it this month. I prefer Copernic Desktop Search.)
