This has nothing to do with anything other than new Apple business

This isn't about standards, it isn't about removing market share from Firefox or IE.
This is about the iPhone and the apps that developers will write for Safari, for one,
and for the Apple movie rental business that will start, for two.

I believe that Safari is going to be a strategic client for the like of Google (Al Gore is
on the board of Apple and Google) and that some new internet stuff is coming
along that Apple will offer a better customer experience on.

I installed it on two XP machines and Safari didn't work well at all. So, this beta
needs work and I predict that once Leopard is out, some things will be on offer to
Windows users via Safari that will entice them to switch over to the Mac.

What other strategy for the business could they have? The iPod has created
millions of switchers and Apple is now the most trusted brand among 21 - 27 year
olds in the USA. Apple is perfectly happy to develop for Windows now because it
makes converts.
