Time will tell ....
... but my opinion and Steve's chart disagree. There is a limited number of users that are looking to switch. They are already using Firefox. They switched before IE7 added the functionality you describe. Most users could care less about plug-ins or anything else. They just want to browse the Internet. Firefox and Safari will have to battle for the scraps off of Microsoft's table.
