The ruling should be qualified by Judge Grimm's masterful may 4th ruling.
On May 4th 2007, his honor, Chief Magistrate Judge Paul W. Grimm in Lorraine V Markel set the actual standard for admissibility of Digital Evidence. Check out our page for this landmark it at http://www.wireless-time.com/site/news/news-judicial1.htm

In Lorraine - the judge set a five test standard for ISE (aka Digital Evidence) and its admissibility into the Courts, and we have formally asked the 9th Circuit Distrcit and Apellate Courts to adopt a local ruling mirroring this ruling which would also constrain the "TorrentSpy" ruling as well one would think.

The Lorraine ruling has MANY MANY implications which 99% of the world seems to want to ignore, like for instance that the ruling also includes any and all Federal Agencies and in their operations also constrains the 'quality of digital media' that those Agencies accept from individuals as well. Meaning that it is VERY likely that the Judge's ruling in Lorraine v Markel effects any and all filings of anything with the Federal Government.

WOW...
