"whitepaper?"
The article sounds to me like one of those so-called "whitepapers" on security that
are actually a commercial for buying some proprietary software or service to
protect one's data traffic by washing it through someone else's computer. Do you
routinely run your phone calls through a third party "listening" service (that you
pay for too). I rather doubt it. I would disagree that the good old boy network is
dead, rather that it has just morphed into the good newIT boy/girl network. And
while there are some people who might resent the control of their data flow most
IT workers perform their assigned task, no more, no less - and can't wait for the 5
o'clock whistle. There are a lot of 30+ IT connected and a lot of them are only
casually aware of any security risks in browsing, believing that their paid for
security apps/services have them covered. (I am also a US citizen, but I live in
Finnish Lapland)
