Christianity and corruption

"THAT is why the word Christian has absolutely no moral connotation when one speaks of "fundamentalist" Christians. Their belief is that morality is, at the very bottom line, irrelevant to the issue of "salvation"."

It is sad that you hold that view, but it ain't necessarily so. In our sorry age, too many people refer to themselves as 'Christian' while they are living denials of the Christ they claim to know. The reality is that there is a lot of 'Churchianity' around that puts a religious gloss on the lives of its adherents and lulls them into a false sense of security about their eternal destiny. "God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap" the Scripture says. People were first called Christians (Greek origin: 'little Christs') because they were like Jesus. They went around doing GOOD, not evil, and they were noted for their love of their fellow man. This man is certainly not behaving as a disciple of Jesus Christ, and he appears, from what I've read, to love himself alone.

Don't tar all Christians with the same brush. Some of us are indeed shamed by they behaviour of such people, making us wonder if they really are a part of the family of God, or if there is a more earthly explanation - mentai disorder, illness, etc. If you want an example of Christianity, doesn't his wife display a better one than he does?
