Naive?
Google does not promote banner advertising. Their advertising is text-based.

I am hardly naive. You saying that advertisers are loathed; that is naive. If you are going to boycott every company that makes a profit by distributing their products on advertisers' dollars then you are going to boycott broadcast, cable or satellite television, radio, yellow pages or even driving down the highway. Are you going to look away from every billboard you drive by? Are you going to stay out of shopping malls? Are you going to boycott grocers and pharmacies? If you are going to do that, then you should even stop viewing ZDNet (Gasp!).

That is a pretty communist point of view. Today's capitalism is based more on advertising dollars than it is on actual product. That is the honest truth and I never would deny it. At least Google's home page does not look nearly as bad as Yahoo! or Lycos or MSN when it comes to advertising.

I also despise the fact that you would imply that I patronize pornography. I never mentioned it. I guess we all know what you are thinking about, now don't we?
