lets not kiid ourselves... they're driven by ad revenuue. google has almost singlehandedly driven an explosion of commercialisation on the web as now even the tiniest web site is loaded with banners.

all of their "free" services are fueled by revenue captured from advertisers who are compelled by their privacy violations.

you're a google fanboy and hate "M$", but dont be naive. google isnt some charity. ridiculous how the ad industry is so loathed yet google, an ad agency, has this slavish following because they give away some "free" trinkets and help people find their porn a little faster...
