LiveJournal has the right ...
to restrict content to whatever they want.
Yes, people can build their own site to post what they want on it. But that's not really the point. The point is, they advertised as being a site that would allow just about anything to be posted. Supposedly, they supported freedom of speech. Yet it turns out that the minute some neo-fascist prudes complain, they turned tail and clobbered their users without warning.

Only five countries in the world really have any effective laws against child pornography: Australia, Belgium, France, South Africa, and the United States; which means the world standard is to permit it. And statistics show that child porn is INCREASING worldwide. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children says 1 in 5 girls and 1 in 10 boys in the United States are sexually exploited before they reach adulthood even with the laws we currently have in place.

Which brings up an interesting conjecture. Is child pornography really abberant behavior? I suspect that it is even more 'normal' than homosexuality. Which leads to even more questions. How or when is a child harmed by child pornography? What is the 'norm' for human sexuality with their young?

Wikipedia (much as I detest it as a primary information source) has some very intersting information on the subject of child 'abuse'.

At the end of the Middle Ages general consent for a young girl to engage in sex with an adult was about ten to twelve years of age.
