This is a lot more than cookies. Currently, there is NO way to make things
like gmail work off-line. You need the ability to store possibly gigabytes of data that is indexed for fast access. You need automatic synchronization, you need the browser to act as a web server when you are off-line. This will be a way for people to make current AJAX applications work off-line, at the same time giving a HUGE boost in performance. Also, when you have a little flaky internet connection, you won't even notice it with this.
