Well my goodness, how did anyone manage to find their way around the world before Google maps came out with street level view? (sorry for the sarcasm) I?m glad Columbus didn?t wait for this to come online before setting sail. Sure it?s slightly convenient, but at what cost? No offence, but you?re thinking only about yourself and your own conveniences. Think about the people that could be negatively affected by this. The article mentions the ?domestic violence shelters?.

To take it to an extreme, most of your vacation photos could be removed from your possession under this pretense, because those can be shared with anyone, at any time, and they run the risk of jeopardizing someone in the background


But I?m not compiling millions of images of millions of public places in one centralized area that can be easily accessible by billions of people. It is against the law? No. But can it inadvertently impose on your privacy? Absolutely.
