- Laff: you didn't read my post

I don't watch the same thing twice (there are exceptions) and I do buy those for my very limited collection. I will listen to the same music often and enjoy it.
I acknowledged this and admitted I was the same way. It still doesn't explain your anger and apparent hatred at the fact that some people might have different wants. Again, why hate people who lease cars just because you prefer to buy?
Leasing is actually quite relevant in this case because it makes financially more sense to lease if you are the type of person who will buy a new car every 3 years. It makes the most financial sense to buy a car and keep it 10 years but if you are the type of person who really wants a new car every 3 years, leasing is better.
Buying vs renting music is the same way. It makes most financial sense to buy 1 CD and listen to it for a year before buying another CD. Some people want to listen to new music every month and some people want to listen to new music every day. If you aren't that type of person, buying music makes more sense. If, however, you want to listen to new music every day, subscription models make far more sense.
Finally, you ignore the fact that you can listen to your music over and over and over again with a subscription model. If you are the type to buy 2 CDs a month, you are spending $15/month on music. If you were that type of person, the subscription model makes more sense. You get to listen to all your old music plus 2, 3, 10, 100 new CDs! If you aren't that type of person (and it would appear that neither of us are), then subscription models don't make sense. Big deal, doesn't bother me in the least to admit that not everyone has the same music requirements that I do. This seems to be a uniquely Apple mentality: anyone who doesn't think exactly like me must be an idiot. People who like subscription services aren't idiots, they simply have different music requirements and for many of them, subscription models are better than purchasing models.
