MS is hindering?
I see Jobs doing the pushing, EMI doing the influencing, and MS hindering.

Huh? Gates is on record as saying that DRM should be abolished (just like Jobs) and I thought that words spoke louder than actions... at least it does when it comes to Jobs!

Regardless, how is MS hindering? How is MS preventing the labels from offering their music on iTMS without DRM? Be specific. iTMS is the biggest online music store by far. The biggest hindrance to removing DRM from all music sold online is that Jobs hasn't cut support for DRMed music, unlike Amazon. Amazon will not sell DRM encrusted music. Apple will. If Apple were to announce tomorrow that they will no longer be selling DRM encrusted music files and all the labels (other than EMI) pulled their content from iTMS and continued to sell it on PlaysForSure/Zune sites, then you could have a point. Until then, Apple is the one hindering, EMI is the one being brave, Amazon is pushing, and MS, quite frankly, is neither hindering nor helping... although keep in mind that Gates said DRM should be abolished so that counts for something... right?
