Why tax it at all?
I can see a tax where the state or municipality actually provides a SERVICE that's somehow connected to the product/service that's being taxed, but how in the world can the governors claim that in the case of Internet access, or even sales via the Internet? Just because people consume something doesn't mean that it should be taxed.

Reagan was correct when he said, "Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it."
