With newspaper readership dropping, Sam Zell wants it to go lower?
Sort of ironic that in a time of very poor readership, less people using newspapers as their primary source for news, and the continual staff reductions at various newspaper publishers, one would expect that the news agencies would be looking for more and better ways of improving readership and improving advertising methodologies (the general method for newspapers and other periodicals to make money above and beyond subscribers and newspaper vending machines). If it were not Google, it could be MSN, Ask.com, or any other search engine that has a news aggregation section. Perhaps Sam Zell is actually trying to destroy the brands that his company owns and scam his investors.
