I understood the article. My assertion is that soon the method that the article described, and you have so kindly repeated, will be deemed as "not going far enough". Before you point it out to me, I am using a "thin edge of the wedge" argument.
However, the AGs involved will then use a "Bandwagon" type of argument - that is, that unless more States are on board, then we cannot offer protection to your child. Nothing wrong with that either.
I have never once said that people will be mis-identified. What I have said is that sooner or later AGs will argue that the system, as outlined in the article, won't be good enough. Which goes to my question - what do you propose as a system that would intercept all the released convicts?
