You must live in a cave. Solaris and Java ARE now open source. Solaris wil

probably be changed to GPL3 when it comes out, and Java is GPL2 for now.

But, Google uses almost 100% Linux on it's servers. That is their competitive advantage. They are also a heavy user of MySQL.

The current market cap for Google is almost 150B, half of Microsoft. And sounds like you know nothing about the stock market, there is no buyout planned for Google, there is no buyer that could afford it. The value of Google is based 100% on projected future profits, though the stock market is not always rational. I imagine that both MS and Google are over valued.

And, almost nothing at Google runs on ASP.net, that is old tech. Most of the user interface stuff is 100% Ajax, the back-end being Linux. No Windows servers at Google.

Come out of your cave every once in a while and see the world around you.
