company based on 100% open source that just cleans their clock in search and advertising, and is worth HALF of MS in a very short time. They also must have been extremely worried that Google would trump them and offer more, so offered so much that NOBODY would touch it.
But, it will be extremely hard for MS to just buy their way in. The culture at MS, to be quite honest is a BIG problem for MS, not to mention that the company is run by criminals. So, look for a lot of current employees to jump to Google when it is appropriate.
