Personally, I don't see what's so "2.0" about it
This is like web 10.0 or something like that - this isn't the first time drastic changes have significantly altered the Internet and the web.

"What I want those reading my dribble to start thinking is that the bandwidth from TV in the US has so much value that it can not be privatized."

Actually, the more valuable, the more it should be privatized. The free market economy works great for extremely valuable stuff. The great value is all the more reason to ensure it is subject to market and competitive forces.

The USA was built on free economics, and that's how it should stay. I most definitely do not like the idea of state ownership of our most valuable resources.

In fact, I'd say free market economics works best when the resource is extremely valuable, because competition prevents an already high price from going too high.

The communists tried state controlled industry, and it was a total flop. It didn't work, and it doesn't work. It is most definitely not the role of the government to control our resources, not matter what their value.

The role of the government is to maintain law and order, and to ensure free market economics stays in effect.

The "commons" is a Soviet idea - not an American idea. Hence communist. The whole idea that property was all common or in the case of the government controlled. Unfortunately, it proved to be unsustainable.

Problem is, a government controlled economy doesn't scale, and there's no checks and balances. It assumes everybody plays nicely, and doesn't handle corruption very well. For a large nation, it also requires a lot of overhead to handle a large economy.

Free market economics, on the other hand, works nicely in all sorts of markets, from large to small. It has only one minimal requirement: Adequate competition for the resource. Once that is in place, free market economics ensures fair prices.

Free market economics was in fact designed with limited resources in mind and works great when the resource is very limited, as long as there's competition.

I am a citizen of the United States of America. I am proud that our nation uses free market economics as its system, and I hope it stays that way.
