...? I don't understand what you're getting at with this comment. The story was merely reporting on the contents of a study. It's a readable breakdown of the statistics, which is a common type of news article. I didn't see any editorializing of the sort you seem to suspect.

Also, when you say "Web 2.0 is Wikipedia and Google" what exactly do you mean? Web 2.0 is traditionally defined as user-generated content, collaboration, and mashups. Reading Wikipedia articles and performing Google searches are none of those things. How many read Wikipedia versus those who actually contribute?

And where did the spectrum comments come from? Did you even read the article at all?

For myself, I found this to be an interesting look at the technology usage of my peers and parents. Since I'm in my 20s, I assume my age group was included in the study. happy I can definitely see where some of the statistics come from when I look at how few of my peers are heavy Web 2.0 content contributors.
