Wrong....

First of all, the law says the deadline is midnight, simple as that. I submitted my return about 8pm and was told all was well concerning the e-file submission and it was only today that I found out my return didn't make it to the IRS's melted down computers. Your "movie" analogy is all wrong. It's not if you get stuck in traffic. It's if the movie starts late because the projectionist melted the film. What time you left is not an issue. As always, when problems DO arise, all that is needed is a little common sense to resolve them and the issues they caused. It's refreshing the IRS and Intuit have arrived at that conclusion, unlike yourself.
