Not so bad
The merging of such information could be of benefit to us all.

It will help companies like google make finding content and services that we want on the internet.

Personally I don't think that it would harm us to have this information shared at all unless you have something to hide. And if you have got something to hide, it would be useful to see what people are looking at to the government (which to be honest already likely has most of this information available to them).

If your not worried about google being irresponsible with the information and are just worried about them being hacked and the information falling in to the wrong hands you should realise thats true of any information you give out on the web, over the phone or otherwise. Most companies store detailed information about their customers including bank details, card numbers, etc and any network can be hacked.

Personally i think that this initiative would cause less harm than good.
