stupid analogy
Lets put another spin on your stupid analogy, Now lets say the people responsible for the crime where notorious mobsters. If you decided to go to the police you knew these mobsters would make your family pay dearly. You knew they would not kill your wife and children quickly no they would kill them in the slowest most painful way possible. Now they would let you live just so you could watch the video tape they made of your family's screams as they slowly skinned them alive. I personally feel the choice to place your family's lives in jeopardy should be yours and yours alone. The government should not have the power to force you tro turn over evedence that could place your family in jeopardy
