Beautiful System Indeed, until...
...someone else gets to decide what serves the "rights of society." A lot of people (read: millions) have been killed in China to serve "the rights of society over the rights of individuals." A lot of Christians are in prison in China today because their beliefs were decided to be "not in the interests of society."

And before anyone pops off about whether they're pro- or anti-Christian, think about what it would mean to you if our Government decided that your beliefs on THAT topic "weren't in the interests of society." Ouch!

The only good thing you can say about our system is that no one has come up with a better one, yet. I understand what you're saying, but I'll take our flaws over theirs every time.
