MP3 is evil
The biggest problem with MP3 is the bullsh*t licensing scheme for it. Companies (big, small, independent...everyone) have been gouged at times by wierd multi-licensing movements. I'm not all boo-hoo over the Microsofts, but the small guys doing innovative stuff get taken to the cleaners.

Don't support MP3 if you can avoid it. Go with OGG, AAC, WMA, or whatever else.
