kbps alone means nothing. I was told you can still have 256 kbps song that is incredibly low quality. I was give an explanation on why this can be true but it was way over my head. The guy was a amatuer sound tech who tried to explaining it to me. Lost me completely and I don't remember any of the details beause this conversation happened some 5 years ago.
