Bad Moon Rising
It is severly unitenerate to have stories such as these put out their 'conflict',nieve 'style'creating the ideal (consider the questions here) to make us believe that because of YouTube etc, they are offering content to the masses on the web.

Rediculous. They are offering content because the finally come around to believing they 'can offer content. There isn't a ready made 'competition'.There will be only complementing network offerings.

Think that for purposes of web technologies, broadcasters have a serious advantage,in that with a web site, the ideal of getting the 'word out is somewhere between nill, and the infinity of it.One to one possibilities in exponential proportions of decision making. While with broadcast, you already have one-to-millions in wich to deal familiarity to location and response from an audience affixed to web surfing.

I dont want these networks to monopolize our mind share any more than it already does. In that I want a communicating web.Rather than a passive monetized by-buy-bye world.

Plus since they will have this opinion making power.Anything rationalized through (as this exemplified news making 'conflict operendi style) these networks celebrities will be taken as overbearing opionion infinit....

Want to stress that my ideal of a web is one with communications bandwidth.Everybody knows the arm pulling that copyrighted stuff does to 'roll down the highway.Taking two lanes, leaving our communication for the public bus.

Yet more power to them.If they would lend their technologies to not only be broadcasters but web ISPs,as in Wimax, and wireless....

Well anybody using cable for a connection knows there is still at least a trickle of life for somebody flowing from it.
