here's my solution...

USE 3 COMPUTERS

I actually use PC's at work.

Computer #1 is for internet only .... to check emails ...... downloading
..... and surfing porn


Computer #2 is for virus & malware/spyware checking. Once I copy
the files from computer-1 to my 2gig USB memory stick, I plug it in
computer-2 to scan for any viruses, trojans, etc.

Computer #3 .... is NOT plugged to the net ..... this is my main
workstation .... and after scanning my USB memory stick for virues on
computer-2, I stick it in computer-3 to copy it and work on it.


At the end of each day, I go back home to my lovely Macs: Macbook
Pro, iMac 24", Mac Pro tower (dual xeons, quad core in total, 16gigs
ram), and G4 tower (PPC dual chips, this computer is now my server
of 12 firewire external drives).


So yeah ... I love macs .... and the best [art is that I do have Windows
XP installed on two of them .... so I use the best of both worlds (OSX
for sound design, and XP for games & other).


I have no problems.

If Computer-1 is full of mal/spyware crap ... then I have a clone-
backup on DVD and reinstall without troubles. I find it easier and
quicker to reinstall OS, rather than fixing Windows.
