can anyone point to viacom content that you tube has on it?
Also, why did they wait for youtube to be bought by google before launching their case?

Viacom won't have an easy ride here, Google's market cap is close to Microsoft's, whereas viacom are one sixth the size of Google, so it won't be like gigantic viacom stomping on minnow kazaa.

I think corporations like viacom have failed to grasp the new world, and are still hedging their bets with DRM. Steve Jobs pointed out the folly of this several weeks ago:

iTunes is by far and away the largest content delivery system online, and only 2% of the content purchased by users is DRMd.

I buy DVDs sometimes, and then lend them to various friends and family, on physical media. Why can't I do this electronically?
