Google has done virtually nothing to stop, or even hinder, the uploading of copyrighted material. Removing offending clips when notified is tokenism, and only tokenism. Google has been just laughing in the face of copyright owners right along. It is long overdue for someone to wipe that smirk off their face. Hopefully more copyright owners will step up and file lawsuits.

And the viewers and listeners seem to have largely adopted an attitude that whatever they want -- they're entitled to -- and at no cost to them.
