Ah, just what we need, another monopoly.
Yes, this would form a monopoly in the market for satellite radio.

The companies claim "But, we compete with traditional radio, iPods, etc!". But that doesn't matter; the market in question is for satellite radio.

Microsoft claimed that it competed with Apple's Mac OS. But the government & judge didn't think so. Microsoft complained it competed with non-PCs such as PDAs, phones, and "network PCs" running browser-based apps. The government & judge didn't think so.
