Good to see that Viacom has not learned anything from the RIAA's failed policies towards going after copyright infringers. Rather than doing the actual work, checking the actual material, it seems like they too are going for a "scorched earth" policy, attacking everyone whose name they can find, regardless of any suspicion of possible guilt.

So, like the RIAA, who tarnished their public image by suing infants and grandmothers who didn't own computers, Viacom will similarly end up looking bad to their customers. Great public relations work.

Yes, copyright infringers should be punished but come on, do the legal requirements, do some research before lashing out. It's no wonder the whole world sees companies like this as the enemy.
