You wont get much choice
If they want to stick Ads in the game, thats up to them. But I doubt it will affect that many games anyway. Within the game itself how many games present a world that could accept real-world advertising? Set in the past? Nope. Set in a fantasy world? Nope. Set in the future? Maybe just barely.

Look at Second Life as an example, where anyone is free to advertise anything. What is most advertised is stuff that you can do or buy in-world. Not a whole lot of real-world stuff, and a good deal of that is "borrowed" logos that have no official standing but used because they look cool.

Some games can accept some advertising, and sports is a good example because that parallels the real world, so it isn't very intrusive. I suspect it also isn't very effective, but then I dont get paid to work such things out.

But if the ads really start to intrude, that will affect reviews and blogs, and that will really start to hurt sales. The market can sort this out.
