Interesting...
Insulin dones not cure. It extends and is but a treatment one of
many. No a cure would be way cool.....however oddly enough the
people who get into the Bible and part of their nature being that they
would insist I not be aborted "IF" my mother had the ability too know
that I was to be born a diabetic and if I choose to stop my teatments
and simply allow my failed body to kill me I would be blamed for
tossing or spitting in God's eye for giving me the "gift" of life such a
gift too like the ugly Xmas Tie.

I see your point and "IF" we could use our free will to create real cures
like stem cells and not be interfered with by faith based ideology
simply allowing those of us to choose again with our free will to use
the cure or not based on our ideology I would be fine with that.

As for letting people who nature meant to die...well die you know I'm
not totally against that. Look at our poor elderly there was a time
when being old still meant you were at least somewhat vital and able
to have a qualit of life.....you just dropped when it was your time.
Now we keep people alive for so long that many, many, many of them
are like zombies in a horror flick. Not respected in the least because
well they seem barely human at all. I'm all for living a long life it the
quality of that life makes some sort of sense and if medical science
can't actually "cure" anyone or makes people live longer but not
better then what are we paying sooooo much for anyway!?!
