You don't get it
Music is already like that. The cats out of the bag, been out of the bag since people have been able to record music. The PC just makes it much faster than tape trading clubs where you used snail mail or attending trading meetings.

DRM does prevent copying. I in fact encourage copyright "Another anti-DRM naivity is that musicans write music for their own and others personal pleasure, a few do, most write it to make as much money as possible ." This is a Myth.

No one does something they love for money. If money results from what they love to do they great. This is a proven fact. The people that chase the dollars are unhappy and rarely make any money.

What most musicians do is try to make enough money to do what they love. Basically make what they love into a paying job. So they can play music for others and themselves. Some make it big and 99% don't yet they still write music and play for others. Take classical music for example. Not much money there yet tons of musicians head that exact direction. Why if the almighty dollar is all they care about.

So take construction workers. Some love what they do and many make good money. The guy who hates his job fails and eventually ends up in quiting, going bankrupt or ends up a wage slave who complains daily about thier job.
