If the product doesnt have DRM for all purposes the product isnt even in the shop, its outside the shop lieing on the floor with a big sign saying 'take me, if you feel like paying come in and pay us, if you don't take it anyway you're in trouble if we catch you but we dont do that very often'
No DRM assumes consumers will be honest even if there is no penalty for them not being, that is a totally naive view of the world.
E-music is selling stuff that the big producers don't want to publish. You reckon an artistic would rather make 1000 $/Euro etc on a non-DRM site or millions on a DRM one?.
Another anti-DRM naivity is that musicans write music for their own and others personal pleasure, a few do, most write it to make as much money as possible .
